Part G Water Efficiency Calculations for New Dwellings
Crowther Solutions provides Part G Water Efficiency Calculations for new dwellings, assessing the proposed sanitary fittings and appliances to demonstrate compliance with the water-efficiency requirements of the Building Regulations.
The standard requirement is a calculated consumption of no more than 125 litres of potable water per person per day, with an optional 110 litres per person per day target where this has been specified through planning. We can assess the proposed specification and provide the flow rates and capacities required to help the project meet the applicable target.
Part G Water Efficiency Calculation and Summary Report
We assess the proposed sanitary fittings and relevant appliances using the Part G water efficiency methodology to calculate the predicted potable water consumption for the dwelling.
The completed calculation and summary report can then be provided to Building Control as evidence of compliance with the applicable water efficiency target.
If the Initial Specification Does Not Meet the Target
If the proposed specification does not initially achieve the required target, we can advise on the flow rates or fitting capacities that would be needed to improve the calculation.
For retrospective assessments, we can provide a data collection form so the installed fittings and appliances can be recorded accurately for the as-built calculation.
Rainwater harvesting can also be incorporated into the assessment where required.
